CP33 INSTALLATION: Hammer Arrestors
Water hammer arrestors can be easily made from standard PVC fittings and should be added to a plumbing installation when the possibility of water hammer and pressure spikes are present. Spikes and water hammer can be caused by water source fluctuations, opening and closing of electric solenoid valves, air in the water lines, etc.
Even if you are unsure if spikes occur in your system, this addition is a low cost method of reducing the likelihood of permanent damage to your injector and is recommended by the manufacturer.
