DIRECTIONS: First determine the ounces of fertilizer needed per 1,000 square feet. This information is usually found on the label or the directions for use. Then determine the number of square feet in the largest zone. If you don't know, this can be estimated by pacing of the length and width of that zone. Multiply number of paces for the length times the number of paces for the width, then multiply by 9. The result is the size in square feet. |

Enter values in the white areas shown. Line 1 - enter the number of minutes you irrigate each zone. This can be found on your irrigation controller. Line 2 - enter the number of times you water each month. Line 3 - enter the ounces of fertilizer to apply per 1,000 sq. ft. each month. Line 4 - enter the size of your fertilizer container in gallons. Line 5 - enter the number of square feet in your largest irrigation zone. Press Calculate |
The calculator will automatically compute the following for you.

Notes: If you would prefer to apply a whole month's supply of fertilizer during a single irrigation session, just enter 1 for the number of times you water each month. Remember to turn on the valve to the injector prior to irrigating and turn it off after the cycle is complete. Estimates of time between refills are approximate and the user should check periodically to ensure the fertilizer does not run out. If the calculated square footage for any zone or zones does not seem accurate, it may mean one or more of the times entered in line 1 may not be correct for those zones. This calculator is provided as an estimation aid for the convenience of our users. The results should not be solely relied upon to determine the setting for fertilizer injection in your application. Chemilizer accepts no liability for any damages incurred as a result of using this calculator. |
