Chemilizer Defeats Two Inherent Pump Injector Problems: Wear and Flow Predictability As seen in the April 2005, Country Folks Grower
Chemilizer provides two injectors that cover a widening array of agriculture, commercial and industrial applications. Its design is light and compact, about the size of an NFL football and weighing less than seven pounds. The proportional model has two parts: The water motor and chemical pump. The adjustable unit adds a flow meter.
The heart of the Chemilizer injector is a reinforced rubber diaphragm which eliminates the need for a piston. Without a piston there is no scratching to scar a cylinder wall and subsequently shorten product life. Operating either unit is completely passive and requires no electricity because the water driven motor doubles as a source of control and power. This also adds to the life and reliability. Both the adjustable and fixed units offer fluid delivery that remains accurate and predictable
The second part of each unit is the chemical pump. It attaches to the bottom of the water motor and injects chemicals around the outside of the water motor and into the delivery systems which could be a drinker system, pivot boom, drip irrigation system, chlorination system, over-head spray -- whatever the application.
Here's the ownership payoff: The injectors pay excellent dividends to users because they are easily maintained and inexpensive to replace and operate. With only two models covering a wide range of applications, there are fewer spare parts to inventory and the simplicity of the design makes repair, when needed, much easier.
The Chemilizer CP33 has been successfully used to efficiently inject fertilizers into center pivot irrigation systems. Some of these systems stretch a quarter mile and irrigate 128 to 132 acres or more - so water and fertilizer distribution effectiveness is vital. The CP33 increases the efficiency of pipeline, surge flow, down to drip, and trickle low-flow irrigation systems.
Floriculture and environmental horticulture is the fastest growing segment of U.S. agriculture. Not only is the U.S. the world's largest producer of greenhouse and nursery crops, but it is also the world's largest market consumer.
The industry is made up of thousands of small family businesses that grow, retail, install and care for plants and landscapes. While the number of U.S. farms, of all types, has declined over the last two decades, the number of nursery and greenhouse farms has increased.
Chemilizer's non-electric injectors play an important role by carefully adding a variety of additives during plant production. Importantly, for greenhouse and nursery operations, Chemilizer units provide affordable and easy systems that add fertilizers, soil conditioners, and pH adjusting chemicals. This helps reduce labor costs, reduces waste and provides better environmental control.
Growers, currently using injectors, recognize the quality and accuracy of the Chemilizer injectors when compared to other brands. That's because the Chemilizer design, using a diaphragm driven water motor and seperate chemical pump, assure the most cost effective operation.
Chemilizer injectors work well with overhead spray booms, spray heads, drip or micro irrigation and are easily integrated into greenhouse and nursery systems or installed on home irrigation systems. The[y] can even be mounted on carts for spot treatment.
