With typical injectors pH control offers some common problems that can be avoided by using a CP33. For most injectors, the acid you choose must be diluted with water to create a solution of the right concentration to deliver the PPM of acid needed to neutralize a specific amount of alkalinity. This presents two problems for your personnel, one is safety and another is measurement error.
Many injectors either require you to dilute the acid to create a weak concentration, as low as 5%, or to use a stronger concentration requires a much more expensive model. When using electric injectors, the PPM injected is not automatically adjusted when the water flow rate changes without expensive add on features.
In most cases, the Chemilizer CP33 lets you avoid these issues. The CP33 is designed to inject low volumes of concentrated solutions into high water flows. Since the injection solution is not mixed inside the injector itself, it avoids excessive motor life reduction experienced with most non-electric injectors. It also allows injection of undiluted acids for most applications avoiding those safety and error problems caused by dilution. Because of its unique design, the CP33 allows you to simply calculate the amount of acid you require per gallon and then set that rate of injection on the Injection Control Panel. The wide range of injection provided allows you to treat very high flows of water with a single injector.
Since the acid only touches the injection pump which is designed for that purpose, product life is extended and the use of strong solutions do not create costly maintenance. In most cases, an inexpensive pump rebuild is required that can be accomplished in minutes without tools.
For example, let’s say you wish to use 93% sulfuric acid and you have calculated that you need about .70 fluid ounces of acid per 100 gallons. You have a 50 GPM water flow so you require .35 ounces of acid per minute or 21 ounces per hour. To accomplish this you just set the CP33 for 21 OPH of injection and you can inject straight from the acid container. If your water flow should vary, the CP33 is designed to keep the correct volume of acid injecting at all times. Merely set the injection rate for the highest water flow your system can attain, and the CP33 will automatically adjust the injector rate should the flow vary.
Injecting acid with a separate injector also avoids the risk of mixing acid with incompatible fertilizers, such as sulfuric acid and calcium nitrate.
The Chemilizer CP33 offers these features and an industry leading 2 year warranty on the water motor that includes normal wear. In addition, the CP33 is certified by the Water Quality Association not to add any harmful chemicals into your water supply, www.wqa.org.
